At the top of the Martelltal, where I found one of my favorite plates of spaghetti Bolognese (with a 1/4 of local wine), now, unfortunately, only plays host to käseknödle!
In the wood under Pravčická Brána in the České Švýcarsko National Park (Bohemian Switzerland), you find this amazing collection of trees hanging on to rocks, yet still soaring.
Cima Venezia (Terza Cima) in the Ortler Alpen (Ortles - Cevedale), just above the Vinschgau Tal (Alto Adige). No it's not upside-down, you must look carefully.
The Passo di Stelvio (Stilfers Joch) at 2,756 metres, is one of the best passes to drive, by car or bike in the Alpine region, with formidable corners leading down to Spondigna - verytime I've done it there's been at least one casualty!
The Martell Valley (Martelltal) is nestled in the Stilfserjoch National Park (Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio), up above the Vinschgau Valley (Alto Adige) in Südtirol (Northern Italy).
Opened earlier in the year (it's a lot older), the tunnel Munt La Schera (Livigno Tunnel) connects Switzerland's Val Dal Spöl with Italy's Lago di Livigno & it's an excellent drive!
